Skin Rejuvenation

It eventually happens to all of us. You wake up one morning and see the signs of aging in the form of sun spots and wrinkles. But the damage you notice today is a buildup of damage over several years. Skin rejuvenation using the Gemini Laser System is a gentle laser treatment to reduce the effects of sun damage, reduce wrinkles and improve rosacea, broken blood vessels and red and blue facial veins. This non-invasive procedure does not damage or remove the skin, but corrects pigmentation irregularities to encourage collagen growth.

What is Involved?

Each procedure takes approximately 60 minutes. Before the procedure, the treatment area is covered with a thin layer of gel. The treatment area is then "painted" with the Gemini laser. This "painting" feels like a warm pulse against the skin. This is followed by a second pass with the Gemini laser, for facial toning and the treatment of fine wrinkles.

You may expect results after 3 to 8 treatments. Clearing of sun damage may be evident after the first few treatments. Wrinkle improvement will be gradual over the first three months of treatment as new collagen forms, creating a smoother, younger looking skin.

Post-Treatment Care

Typically patients can continue normal activities immediately and makeup can be worn immediately after the procedure. In some cases, there may be slight redness and puffiness after the procedure, but this should disappear within hours.

Following treatment, we recommend that sunscreen be used daily to reduce the recurrence of sun damage.
